Open Letter to Humanity: A Message of Love

I want you to know how much I love you. I also want you to understand me better. I have found new meaning in life recently, and believe I have finally found my ultimate truth. You see me as an atheist, but I say it isn't so (at least not in the way you think). I believe I have been awakened to the truth and wish so much to share this peace and love with you, but your journey is your own. When you are ready, your eyes will open and your curiosity will spark. You will develop a whole new idea of God and Self. A fresh and clear understanding. The most puzzling questions will be answered for you. You will no longer see male, female, fat, thin, black, white, Christian, Muslim, gay, straight, smart, stupid. You will instead see human, spirit, energy, divine, light, color, nature, life, love, conciousness, GOD. You will no longer dwell on the past or worry about the future. You will live in the now. You will live on purpose. You, and only you, can manifest your dreams and desires. You make your own choices. Follow your heart and find happiness. Make the best of whatever comes you way; you will find peace there. Feel the liberating power of forgiveness- of yourself, and of others. Stop accepting society's definition of truth, and go find your own. Now is the time for change. Now is the time we all must make a choice. Fear or Love. This is the next step in the evolution of mankind. Once we all learn and experience unconditional love, we will have peace, happiness, and Heaven on Earth. Just simply love each other. Try it. Make the choice that is yours to make. No more excuses. Just Love.

My Deep Thoughts Today: Struggle Within

Torn.
Anxious.
Responsibility and possible future stability that isn't even guaranteed anymore with a college degree; not even with a PhD, or LIFE.
A life full of love worth living.
A life full of laughter and singing.
In the rain with my kids, the trees and the birds.
Nature calls me, but not with words.
Not with sms or mms, but to the part of me that rules the rest.
My heart.
To love.
To gain wisdom not just information.
To weave the universal web of consciousness.
Freedom of spirit.
For my family and for me; and you.
To be free.

My Deep Thoughts Today

I was just thinking... people need to stop observing merchandise at the mall. Instead, observe the sky, nature, atmosphere, people, Your outlook on life will change, and I guarantee it will be for the better. Meditate on what you observe, write down anything that comes to you during these meditations, write down what you remember of your dreams. Practice all these things, and new truths will be revealed to you.
I have been observing the sky my whole life and have seen many things that most people toss aside as "nonsense" and "impossibilities." Why do they not believe me? Because they have been told not to, without question. We live in a society where we are taught to listen to anyone holding a position higher than our own...a society where individual thought is discouraged. How can you toss aside thoughts of others without taking a look for yourself? How can you know what is truth unless you go discover it for yourself?
I have seen "ghosts" fully manifest themselves in my bedroom at night since childhood, but ghosts do not exist. I have seen large metallic pyramids hovering in the sky above a large city, but alien life doesn't exist. I have been awakened by a man's voice after meditating in search for answers. This benevolent voice only said, "Dawn of morning with birth of new vision." This voice changed my life. Some call me a conspiracy nut, which is fine because I know who I am now, thanks to my search for truth in the strangest of places. I look forward to a bright future as I enter into a higher level of consciousness along with millions of enlightened souls around the globe.

Dirty Stinking Hippies!

         What comes to your mind when you hear the word “hippie”? You probably imagine folks of the 1960’s with long hair, tie-dyed shirts, flowers in their hair, and joints in their hands as they gather in a circle to sing “Kumbaya” around soldiers during a Vietnam War protest. This stereotype is typical. Google’s dictionary defines hippie as,  “(esp. in the 1960s) A person of unconventional appearance, typically having long hair and wearing beads, associated with a subculture involving a rejection of conventional values and the taking of hallucinogenic drugs.” Many of the assumptions made about hippies are quite accurate, but also very misguided. There is so much more to hippies than drugs and the aroma of patchouli.

          Most of us have heard that hippies are lazy. How can people possibly be productive by sitting around a park and banging on the bongos while talking philosophically about the meaning of life? The answer to that is pretty simple. These laid-back, music-loving philosophers are truly taking on the real issues faced by humanity. Hippies are not focused on making that next dollar to buy the latest technological device. Hippies do not care about having the fastest car or the biggest house. Hippies organize and gather to tackle the issues in government that affect everybody. Is that war we are fighting just? Is our current tax code written fairly? How do we fight greedy corporations that have a hand in our government? Is there a global cover-up of visitors from other worlds? What would the benefits be to our economy if cannabis was legalized? A hippie can easily give the answer to all these questions, along with a valid plan on how to fix the problems.

          One mostly true stereotype of hippies is that they are dirty and do not shower. To the majority of American people, going without a steamy shower with a full lather of high quality soaps for more than a single day is simply unthinkable. Ignore the fact that these soaps are damaging the body by killing all good bacteria and likely contain cancer causing ingredients. Apparently, health comes second to hygiene in society. Hippies actually study and research these types of issues. Not to mention, many hippies are very low-income and just do not have the means to keep clean. Some hippies are too busy traveling to worry about hygiene. Time is not to be wasted, and there is much work to be done in improving the communities around the country. In reality, hippies who can shower, do shower, just probably not every day. Also, they make sure to find the safest organic and environmentally friendly products, as hippies care deeply about the Earth.

          Perhaps the most disturbing assumptions people make about hippies is that they are drug addicts, completely removed from reality. This could not be further from the truth. First of all, the “drugs” that hippies enjoy are not physically addictive. Hippies are incredibly spiritual people and quite connected with nature. They use substances like cannabis and mushrooms to awaken the inner depths of the mind, communicate with Mother Nature, meditate, relax, heal, study, research, write, sketch, paint, create music, socialize, enjoy food, laugh, and love. Hippies do not believe in the destructive abuse of dangerous synthetic drugs, and avoid such negative things at all costs.

          Imelda Staunton once said, “Looking back, there is nothing wrong with that peace, love and equality that the hippies espoused. In many ways, we have regressed because they were into organic food, back to nature, make love not war, be good to all men, share and share alike - which is what many are talking about now.” We should all actually thank the hippies. They are the ones that pushed endlessly for civil rights, clean air and water, worker’s rights, women’s rights, and just about every socially progressive accomplishment to date. It can even be argued that Jesus himself was a dirty stinking hippie.

Is the Free-Market Really About Freedom?

“Advocates of capitalism are very apt to appeal to the sacred principles of liberty, which are embodied in one maxim: The fortunate must not be restrained in the exercise of tyranny over the unfortunate.” ~Bertrand Russell 

          Capitalism is defined as an economic and political system characterized by a free market for goods and services, and private control of production and consumption (1). It has long been believed that the Capitalist system is the key to reaching the “American Dream.” For many years, it even seemed to work. Americans thrived in a nation where a little hard work kept families safe, happy, and healthy. Over the past 3 decades, however, this dream has become nearly impossible to reach. America’s free-market obsession has led to severe inequality between the rich and the other 98 percent of American people.

          One way the free-market has caused such inequality is with new legislation that favors the wealthy over the average worker. During the reign of George W. Bush, massive tax cuts were given to the richest Americans, placing most of the tax burden on the poor and middle-class. To the dismay of all but the elite, these cuts still exist and still cause massive damage to households and small businesses all across the nation. In 2010, almost immediately after the House of Representatives swore in its new freshmen Republican majority, the Citizens United ruling was passed. This bill gave corporations “personhood” status, meaning they could now filter an unregulated amount of funds into elections, which basically stripped power from voters.

          Inequality in this free-market society is also being fueled as Wall Street threatens to obliterate the rights of Americans with the faulty promise of “individual liberty” in order to control society’s assets. Corporate recruiters have become a virus in colleges. They show up to aggressively snatch the youth right out of high school and undergraduate programs. This keeps the gifted out of crucial progressive careers such as research, technology, manufacturing, and education. Instead, these talented recruits are stuck creating and calculating insane derivatives that make absolutely no sense, but are extraordinary tools to make a profit off the economy’s collapse.

          The Wall Street Bailout of 2008 was most assuredly the greatest driving force toward the extreme inequality that now cripples American society. Banks were about to fail and the market was on the brink of collapse, so they begged and pleaded for the government to provide aid, and they got what they wanted. Hundreds of billions of taxpayer-funded assistance went directly to the wealthiest banks and corporations in the form of bonuses and raises. Americans still do not know where a large chunk of those funds ended up, except that they were not used in the manner they were supposed to be. Consequently, this has led America to literally become the country where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.                  In short, America has drifted far from the “Land of Opportunity” that was once promised to all. Hard workers can no longer afford to be comfortable while the wealthy continue to claim all that has value. Now is the time to rise up and make a stand. Use Facebook and Twitter to spread the news and reveal the lies. Occupation of Wall Street has now lasted nearly a month, and continues to spread across the globe. Anyone who struggles has an obligation to be a part of the Revolution that is now underway.
